Chief David Johnson started his Law Enforcement career as a jailer for the Vernon County Sheriff's office.  Eventually he attended the Police Academy at Missouri Southern State College in Joplin Missouri.  He would eventually be moved to the road as a Patrol Deputy.  Due to his dedication and experience hew as promoted to Investigator.  Chief Johnson commitment to duty and selfless service led him to become the Chief of Police where he oversees the day to day functions of our agency. 

Chief Johnson also known as "Tiny" is dedicated to the citizens of Rich Hill, and believes that in order to have an efficient police department community relations should always be a key factor.

Chief "Tiny" Johnson enjoys working within the community and especially when he is able to visit our local school and interact with the students.  Our students are always his top priority and takes their safety and security seriously.  GO TIGERS!
